I can't really say anything the picture won't except that these were designed by my favorite sculptor, John Bear Ross, for the Cold Navy line. They are available from Ravenstar Studios, though you have to email him as these aren't up on his website.
Some of my favorite ships out there, even though I haven't purchased any due to not having any other fleet gamers in the area. They evoke a bit of anime style like that seen in Legend of Galactic Heroes among some of the Imperial vessels.
That anime styling is what attracted me to them. Forgot to mention in the post that the two ships in the top of the pic are how they are going to be painted. The colors were inspired by a Texas sunset I had the honor of observing while riding my motorcycle.
What a great place to take your inspiration from. Perhaps they could be a fleet from a Republic of Texas, the color scheme a reminder of the home they left behind :)
Nah, I already did a tribute to Texas. Biker Chick Sophie That and I don't want to have to paint stars on all of them. My freehand isn't consistent enough.
Another miniature wargamer who has decided that his rants, minis, works in progress, and battle reports are sooooo important that they need to be shared with the world via the WWW.
